1. Who We Are
NebulaTalk is provided by Shanghai PalmZen Wireless Technology Co., Ltd. This policy explains how the
NebulaTalk website, iOS and Android Apps, and related services collect, use, store, share, and protect your
information.
This policy applies to users worldwide. If the laws of your region provide additional rights, such as the
EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA, Brazil LGPD, or other privacy regulations, we will respect those rights to
the extent applicable.
2. Information We Collect
- Account and identity information: mobile phone number, email, verification code login information,
temporary device login identifier, user ID, nickname, avatar URL, linked login methods, and last login time.
If future versions enable Apple, Google, or other third-party login, we will also process the corresponding
third-party login identifiers.
- Device and network information: stable App device identifier, device brand, system language, request time,
API path, network status, IP address and approximate region inferred from IP, and crash or error
information. On Android, only after you agree to this policy, we read the Android ID
through system interfaces to identify the login device and maintain the login session; its use is limited
to account and device management.
- Voice, translation, and intercom content: audio streams, voice clips, recognized text, translations,
speech synthesis results, call session IDs, speaking duration, and release reasons generated when you use
real-time translation, face-to-face translation, intercom, or sound test features. If future versions enable
call playback, recording transcription, or summary features, we will also process the audio, text, and task
status necessary to implement these features.
- Team and channel information: channel name, channel ID, join password, role, join/leave time, online
status, channel QR code or sharing information, team introduction, and announcements.
- Local preferences and history: language settings, auto-translation settings, Bluetooth auto-reconnect
settings, face-to-face translation preferences, and names of connected Bluetooth devices.
- Permission-related information: microphone for intercom, sound test, and face-to-face translation;
Bluetooth for scanning and connecting headphones, glasses, watches, and other devices; camera for scanning
team QR codes; photo album permission is only used when avatar selection, image selection, or saving team QR
codes are enabled in relevant versions. Scanning and connecting nearby Bluetooth headphones requires precise
location permission; we use this permission only to discover and pair devices, not for location tracking.
- Feedback information: feedback content you submit and contact information you voluntarily provide.

5. Audio and Translation Content
NebulaTalk's core features rely on audio processing. During real-time intercom and translation, audio or text
generated from audio may be sent to our servers or speech service providers to complete recognition,
translation, speech synthesis, playback, quality control, and troubleshooting.
Sound test recordings are mainly stored locally on your device for immediate playback. Face-to-face
translation history is stored locally by default. Channel intercom transmits audio through real-time
communication services and generates necessary session metadata. If you use launched recording playback,
transcription, or summary features, the relevant server-side features may store audio, text, or metadata
related to the session until you delete it, the account deletion process is completed, or our retention period
is reached.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The website is currently mainly used for product display and download entry. We may use necessary local
storage, server logs, or security technologies to maintain website operation, count errors, and prevent abuse.
If analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies are integrated in the future, we will provide notice and
choices in accordance with applicable law.
7. Data Retention
- Account information is generally retained until account cancellation or for the period necessary to
provide services.
- Verification codes, temporary tokens, and real-time communication credentials expire after a relatively
short period.
- Local preferences, Bluetooth history, and face-to-face translation history are stored on your device and
may be deleted when you uninstall the App or clear data.
- Server logs, call records, and API records are retained for the period required for security, auditing,
dispute resolution, and service operations.
- Legal requirements, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or security reasons may require us to retain
some information for a longer period.
8. Cross-Border Transfers
NebulaTalk serves users worldwide, and data may be processed outside your country/region, such as in China,
Singapore, the United States, the European Union, or locations where service providers are located. We will
take measures such as contracts, access controls, encryption, and minimization to protect cross-border
processed data in accordance with applicable law.
9. Your Rights and Choices
- You can turn off microphone, Bluetooth, camera, or photo album permissions in system settings; you can
also turn off location permission; after turning them off, related features may be unavailable. Permissions
that are not used will not actively collect corresponding data.
- You can modify your nickname, bind a mobile phone number or email, or log out in the App.
- You can contact us through features already provided in the App or by email to request access, correction,
deletion, export, restriction of processing, or withdrawal of consent.
- California users may request to know, delete, and correct personal information, and choose not to sell or
share personal information; we currently do not sell personal information or share personal information for
cross-context behavioral advertising.
- EU/UK users may, to the extent applicable, exercise the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict
processing, object to processing, data portability, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
10. Account Deletion
You can send an email to abby@palmzen.cn to request account cancellation
and deletion of related personal information, or use the account deletion entry provided in the App (if
enabled in your version). To protect account security, we may need to verify your identity through your bound
mobile phone number, email, login status, or verification code. We will process the request within a
reasonable period and delete or anonymize information that no longer needs to be retained.
Account deletion will delete the account record and personal information associated with the account that we
no longer need to retain. If laws, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or app store
requirements require us to retain some records, we will inform you of the type of retention and the reason,
and delete or anonymize them when no longer needed.
11. Minors
NebulaTalk is not directed to children under 13 years of age and does not knowingly collect personal
information from children. If your region requires a higher age threshold, we will comply with local law. If a
guardian believes that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us to delete it.
12. Security
We use transmission encryption, access controls, Keychain storage for tokens, least privilege, and
server-side security measures to protect information. However, no internet service can guarantee absolute
security. Please keep verification codes, accounts, and channel passwords safe.
